Book Report The Beasts Of The East Basketball

On a fierce summer day in Harlem, the basketball courts were loud and loaded. The event every small infant, to up and coming middle school player, high school stars, and some past NBA legends found pleasure in. Exhilarating and dramatic, the Beasts in the East Basketball Tournament was about to start, and the two best players in the East were the brothers Jermaine and Chauncey Collin. Before I go any further, the Beasts in the East Basketball Tournament was an annual event like an NBA All-Star Weekend. The tournament includes the best players on the East side of America and host events that exemplify the player s skill. Anyhow, the opening presentation of the tournament finally began with each one of the players lined up on a podium facing the enormous crowd. â€Å"Welcome to the Beasts of the East Basketball Tournament!† said the announcer heartily into the microphone, â€Å"Alright y’all, I have a huge stash of fun for you ladies and gents this breathtaking evening, and I can assure this year will be just as good if not better than lasts!† The crowd erupted with excitement, preparing themselves to witness, what they deem greatness, â€Å"Ok, let me break down what events we will be having tonight,† began the announcer, â€Å"The three-point contest will be cramped this year because it contains a good amount of players who can really spray the ball,† continued Announcer, â€Å"then following the three-point contest we have the world-famous dunk contest which should be fun, and finally to put the cherry on top of the tournament we have our own annual all-star game!† All this excitement seemed to have a nix effect on Matthew. His face was brimming with confidence. Matthew wasn’t shaken by the noise for one split second. It seemed like Matthew noticed that he could, and possibly would win all there was to win at that tournament.
